 IZASA
(SIG) and STARLIMS Form Alliance in
Spain and
Portugal
HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA. (October 6, 2005) – STARLIMS Corporation,
a front-running global provider of Laboratory Information Management
Systems (LIMS), announced the formation of an alliance with the
Scientific Instrumentation Group (SIG) of IZASA S.A. Under the terms
of the agreement, IZASA (SIG) will distribute STARLIMS solutions
throughout Spain and Portugal, significantly extending STARLIMS
coverage in the Iberian Peninsula, and supporting the company’s
European growth strategy.
The Scientific Instrumentation Group
(SIG) of IZASA is the leading distributor of scientific
instrumentation in Spain and Portugal. Through this agreement, IZASA
(SIG) will take responsibility for providing STARLIMS marketing,
sales and service support—leveraging its strong presence in twelve
locations in Spain and two in Portugal to meet the needs of the
scientific, industrial and research markets.
IZASA (SIG)’s distribution and
service capabilities, deployed throughout the Iberian Peninsula,
will be augmented by STARLIMS’ Madrid-based team to provide full
implementation and project execution services to Spain and
Portugal’s growing pharmaceutical, public health, environmental and
process industries.
