Receives Top Ranking in
Independent Global LIMS Survey
Hollywood, FL – March 05, 2003 – L.i.M.S. and its STARLIMS
laboratory information management system receive top rankings in the
latest Global Survey of the Status and Prospects of Laboratory
Information Management Systems (LIMS) published by Strategic Directions
International, Inc. (SDi)
The survey incorporates the responses
ascertained via Internet and direct mail of 515 lab managers and
end-users across the world. The SDi report provides firsthand feedback
from actual LIMS users, making it a valuable tool for potential
customers in determining their future LIMS purchasing decisions.
STARLIMS gained highest overall rankings
for product features evaluated foremost by end-users. The factors
assessed included performance of different lab workflow steps as well as
general aspects such as flexibility, adaptability, ease of use, user
interface and validation.

counterparts led the way as the highest rated global LIMS vendor with
emphasis on factors including long term commitment, efficiency, service
response times, performance of maintenance contracts and configuration
services.
