Opens Global Center of
Excellence for the
Life
Sciences
HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA. (March 29, 2006) –
STARLIMS Corporation, a front-running global provider of Laboratory
Information Management Systems (LIMS), announced today the opening
of the STARLIMS Center of Excellence in Life Sciences (COE). The new
COE is part of STARLIMS Canada, which recently became a wholly owned
STARLIMS subsidiary after over a decade of close partnership.

and Varied Life Science Expertise
The hub of life sciences domain expertise within
STARLIMS, the new COE brings together over 30 professionals who have
rich and varied expertise in life science information management
solutions. The COE will serve STARLIMS’ global customer base in the
pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and CRO industries.
Its mission is to optimize STARLIMS solutions to precisely suit the
needs of life science organizations, while providing
industry-specific support for STARLIMS Professional Service
specialists around the world.

Outgrowth of Growing Operations in the Life Sciences Sector
“In many ways, our team in Canada has already
been functioning as a Life Science COE—leveraging years of
pharmaceutical and clinical expertise to support STARLIMS teams and
customers,” said Jeff Ferguson, Chief Operating Officer at STARLIMS.

According to Ferguson, the decision to establish
the center reflects the professional achievements of the Canadian
team, and the expectation that the new COE will provide key support
