Agaram to introduce STARLIMS™ to the

Indian Market

Hollywood, FL and Chennai, India - Wednesday, November 18th 2002 – Agaram Instruments (Chennai, India) and L.I.M.S. (USA) Inc. (Hollywood. FL) announced today the commencement of joint operations in India.

With over 20 years of experience and leadership in the Indian analytical instrumentation and laboratory automation markets, Agaram Instruments, will set up a new sales and support channel for STARLIMS throughout the Indian sub continent.  “Our current position as an independent analytical solutions vendor, with a presence all over India enables us to distribute STARLIMS and offer implementation and support services for the Indian market” said V. Mukunth, Manager Software Group of Agaram Instruments (P) Ltd. “We have been searching the LIMS global market for a suitable product and are excited to have reached this agreement with the L.I.M.S. group” he added. 

Expansion into India reflects the importance L.I.M.S. places on development into the Asia-Pacific market.  It is also the latest addition in the company's growing operations in the region.  In March this year the company set up its Asia Pacific center in Hong-Kong, and has since initiated sales and support channels throughout China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand.
