Inaugurated in 1957, the International Association of Forensic Sciences (IAFS) is the only worldwide association to bring together academics and practicing professionals of various disciplines in forensic science. They include forensic scientists, professionals working in police, government or private forensic laboratories, and scientists in the area of forensic science, such as forensic psychiatry, physical anthropology, medical law and bioethics, forensic odontology, etc. The 18th meeting of IAFS is expected to draw over 1300 forensic scientists from over 50 countries. |

Sixth Annual Public Health Information Network (PHIN) Conference

The theme of this year’s PHIN conference is Public Health Informatics: Collaboration at the Crossroads, and the conference is slated to bring together the best of the informatics community in one place to build the future of PHIN. The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) will co-sponsor this event.
This year’s conference will feature workgroups/ancillary meetings, informatics workshops/tutorials, many opportunities for networking with informatics colleagues from the local, state, national, and international levels. You can also provide input to CDC on how to implement the PHIN initiative in the context of the larger national Health IT Initiative.
