ABBOTT PARK, Ill., Jan. 18, 2012 — Abbott announced today that the Food and Drug Administration will begin implementing Abbott’s STARLIMS® software-based laboratory information management system (LIMS) as part of the agency’s initiative to enhance FDA testing laboratories.  
STARLIMS LIMS software will be used to manage complex processes and the analysis of the vast amounts of information generated by FDA laboratories.
