In February 2023, the Starlims Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) project for life sciences at Waker Bioscience in Shanghai officially commenced. Representatives from Waker Bioscience and Starlims’ partner, Sinowittech (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., attended the project kickoff ceremony.
Shanghai Waker Bioscience Co., Ltd. is an innovative company that complies with domestic regulatory requirements for viral integration site analysis (ISA) and is a leader in the field of gene therapy risk assessment in China. Waker Bioscience provides comprehensive customized services to each client, including sample quality control, sample pooling, next-generation sequencing, bioinformatics analysis, and ISA risk assessment reports, from sample reception to report submission.
To meet the long-term digitalization plan, improve operational efficiency through automation, and meet various regulations and requirements, Waker Bioscience chose to collaborate with the internationally renowned brand Starlims, which has over 36 years of laboratory informatics history, and their implementation partner Sinowittech to build a fully integrated laboratory information management platform.
The Starlims LIMS provides an integrated solution that offers decision support tools required in the field of life sciences. After the system goes live, it will help maximize operational efficiency in Waker Bioscience’s laboratory. Additionally, the system’s flexible and configurable workflows can be applied to various laboratory processes at Waker Bioscience, including sample collection, reception, testing and processing, storage location management, querying, and transfer.
The Starlims LIMS for life sciences provides comprehensive sample tracking with electronic signatures, covering every step of each workflow, which will help Waker Bioscience reach its compliance initiatives, inclusive of 21 CFR PART 11, ICH, GxP, HIPAA, CAP, CLIA, and ISO 17025.
As an official authorized partner of Starlims, Sinowittech has accumulated rich implementation experience and professional implementation resources through years of providing informatics services to customers. They have established standardized and efficient project management methodologies and implementation processes to ensure the successful and timely delivery of the Starlims Laboratory Information Management System.
We extend our best wishes to the successful launch of the Waker Bioscience Starlims project and its contributions to the development of laboratory and enterprise informatics!
